TRAIN THE TRAINER FOR GENERAL PHYSICIANS
This online course serves as a perquisite for those applying to the MDS-AS Train the Trainer Program for General Physicians. The MDS-AS Train the Trainer for General Physicians will comprise additional online and in person training in the 2nd quarter of 2026. This program utilizes the Train the Trainer education model wherein MDS provides centralized curriculum, resources, training and support to regionally identified trainers, who in turn utilize these materials to prepare and implement training programs for general physicians in their local languages and organizations.
Selected trainers are required to participate in the entire duration of the program and are provided travel support and accommodations to the in-person training program.

SESSION OVERVIEW
Attendance at both sessions is mandatory to be considered for the AS Train the Trainer Program for General Physicians.

10 supplemental online modules will be provided to attendees via email. It is expected that all attendees planning to apply for the in-person Train the Trainer Program for General Physicians complete these online modules.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, learners will be able to:
1. Identify the phenomenology of parkinsonism
2. Recognize phenomenology of common hyperkinetic movement disorders
3. Identify common syndromes associated with common movement disorders
4. Comprehend, utilize and transmit information on basic/initial investigations when evaluating persons with common movement disorders
INTENDED AUDIENCE
This activity is intended for general physicians and clinicians with an interest in current clinical trends and approaches for diagnosis and treatment of movement disorders.
