Program Description

In this course, experts in botulinum toxin treatment and EMG/ultrasound, will provide practical lectures and hands-on teaching for optimizing patient assessment, selecting a treatment plan, and optimizing toxin injection technique. Teaching modalities include lectures, videos, case-based examples and small group hands on sessions.

  1. Describe the different phenomologies of cervical dystonia, limb dystonia, and cranial dystonia
  2. Identify muscles to target for injections, and design treatment plans
  3. Recognize EMG and ultrasound guidance techniques to enhance toxin delivery
  4. List strategies to troubleshoot suboptimal outcomes
