Program Description

The MDS-ES School for Young Neurologist is designed for young neurologists and early-career movement disorder specialists who wish to deepen their expertise in the field of movement disorders, with particular focus on clinical examination, diagnosis and treatment. The program offers a comprehensive overview of main movement disorders and practical tips for treatable movement disorders and movement disorders in the emergency room. Teaching will be delivered by internationally known experts from specialized movement disorder centres.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this activity, learners will be able to:

1. To perform a structured and comprehensive clinical evaluation of patients presenting with movement disorders.
2. To present and analyze movement disorder case histories using a structured and evidence-based approach.
3. To deliver accurate diagnoses in patients with common and straightforward movement disorder presentations.
4. To formulate and critically appraise differential diagnoses in patients with complex or atypical movement disorder presentations.
5. To develop, evaluate, and appropriately modify individualized management plans in accordance with current evidence and best clinical practice.
