Program Description

The MDS-AOS Affiliate Society Video Case Series is a live, interactive educational program designed to enhance diagnostic reasoning in movement disorders through expert-guided discussion of authentic clinical video cases. Each session features case presentations from two MDS-AOS affiliate societies followed by panel discussions led by international experts. The three-session series will focus on contemporary themes in movement disorders, including genetic disorders, movement disorders beyond the basal ganglia, and movement disorders that require prompt recognition because of their therapeutic or prognostic implications.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this activity, learners will be able to:

Recognize characteristic phenomenological features of selected movement disorders using clinical video cases
Compare disorders with similar clinical presentations and formulate appropriate differential diagnoses
Identify clinical features suggestive of genetic disorders and movement disorders arising outside the basal ganglia
Recognize movement disorders requiring urgent evaluation or disease-specific treatment
Apply expert diagnostic reasoning to challenging movement disorder cases in clinical practice
