The primary purpose of this course is to provide information on essential characteristics and classification of movement disorders.
Upon completion of this activity learners will be able to:1. Recognize and identify clinical features suggesting parkinsonism, the prototypical hypokinetic movement disorder.2. Identify and describe the characteristics of hyperkinetic movement disorders, including tremor, dystonia, chorea, tics, and myoclonus.3. Recognize the clinical features of cerebellar dysfunction
This activity is intended for neurologists, primary care physicians with an interest in movement disorders, neurology residents and movement disorder fellows.
Your chosen sessions must be attended in their entirety. Partial credit of individual sessions is not available. If you are seeking continuing education credit for a specialty not listed in the Accreditation Statement, it is your responsibility to contact your licensing/certification board to determine course eligibility for your board requirement.
