Course Purpose

The primary purpose of this program is to provide information on continuing education for physicians who care for Parkinson’s disease (PD) and movement disorders patients. Both standard approaches and new advances are highlighted.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, learners will be able to:

1. List the types of motor complications related to PD treatment

2. List the timing of dyskinesias according to dosing schedule

3. Have an approach to diagnosing motor complications in treated PD patients

4. List treatments with evidence for use in the treatment of motor fluctuations

Intended Audience

This activity is intended for neurologists, primary care physicians with an interest in movement disorders, neurology residents and movement disorder fellows.

Method of Participation

Contained within the module is a pre-test, an article with supplementary case videos, a post-test, and an evaluation. Once you have complete the module and completed the evaluation, you will receive your CME certificate.
