Program Description

The MDS-ES Neuropsychology of Parkinsonian Syndromes course is focused on cognition in Parkinson’s disease, including Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and dementia in Parkinson’s disease and Lewy Body Disorders (DLB). The course will discuss the clinical neuropsychology point of view, including how to properly examine main cognitive domains in PD-DLB, and the research prospective including cognitive batteries/scales for screening, diagnosis, prognosis and rehabilitations. Additionally, biomarkers will be discussed with regard to the role of clinical neuropsychology, neuroimaging and EEG instruments for LBD diagnosis.
