Course Purpose

This material will be presented utilizing didactic lectures and clinical discussion; along with case presentations, video demonstrations and panel discussions.

This course provides a comprehensive overview of an extensive variety of different movement disorders. The most effective and efficient manner to communicate this abundance of information is through didactic lecture with question and discussion time. Many of the lectures include video case presentations to visually demonstrate characteristics and other physical symptoms of the various hyperkinetic and hypokinetic movement disorders. In addition, case examples are also discussed to provide examples of the various disorders as observed in clinical practice.

The Comprehensive Review of Movement Disorders for the Clinical Practitioner course is the highly successful program originally accredited for CME by Columbia University until transferred to MDS in 2016. The program provides a robust scientific content and interaction with the leaders and innovators of the movement disorders field
