LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this activity, learners will be able to: 

1. Identify medications that can lead to a worsening or exacerbation of symptoms, prolonging the hospital stay of patients with Parkinson’s disease.

2. Administer appropriate medications on time, every time, to the hospitalized patient with Parkinson's disease.


INTENDED AUDIENCE

This activity is intended for inpatient RNs, LPNs, pharmacists, house officers, and hospitalists who work with patients with movement disorders.


HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS

1. Active Internet connection (DSL or Cable). Dial-up connection will have constant buffering problem.

2. Compatible with Windows PC and MAC (256 MB of RAM or higher).
