Course Purpose

The primary purpose of this course is to cover therapeutic strategies in rare movement disorders including translational aspects of new research and advances in therapeutic strategies on the horizon.

Learning Objectives

As a result of this online course participates will be able to:

  1. Classify phenomenology of hyperkinetic movement disorders.
  2. Identify the main clinical clues pointing to a specific group of rare hyperkinetic movement disorders.
  3. Describe indication and interpretation of ancillary investigations for rare hyperkinetic movement disorders.
  4. Identify treatable hyperkinetic movement disorders.
  5. Summarize advances in surgical and pharmacological therapies for rare hyperkinetic movement disorders.

Intended Audience

This course is intended for Movement Disorders Specialists, General Neurologists, Clinical Fellows, and Neurology Residents.

Method of Participation

Participants must complete an evaluation for each session they attend to receive continuing medical education credit. Your chosen session(s) must be attended in their entirety. Partial credit for individual sessions is not available.
