Program Description

The MDS-4th Pan American Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Congress Plenary Sessions provides participants with access to six recorded Plenary Sessions that took place at the PAS Congress from May 26-28, 2022 in Miami, FL, USA. The topics covered in the six sessions include Diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease, Tremor, Treatment of Parkinson's Disease, Equity of Care - Underrepresented Populations in the Americas, Controversies in Movement Disorders, and Hot Topics in Movement Disorders: The Pan American Perspective. 

Course Purpose

The MDS-4th Pan American Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Congress Plenary Sessions are to provide participants with access to six recorded Plenary Sessions from the 2022 PAS Congress and access to the booklet of abstracts.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, learners will be able to:

1. Identify the pathophysiology and microbiology of Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders.

2. Appraise diagnostic approaches for management of Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders.

3. Evaluate pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment options available for Parkinson’s disease and other  movement disorders.

Intended Audience

This activity is intended for clinicians, researchers, post-doctoral fellows, medical residents, medical students, allied health professionals with an interest in current clinical trends and approaches for diagnosis and treatment of movement disorders.

Method of Participation

Participants must complete an evaluation for each session they attend to receive continuing medical education credit. Your chosen session(s) must be attended in their entirety. Partial credit for individual sessions is not available.
