The Journal CME 38.03 article provided an investigation to validate the MDS-MSA diagnostic criteria against neuropathological diagnosis and compare their diagnostic performance to previous criteria and diagnosis in clinical practice.

Upon completion of this activity learners will be able to:

1. Understand the MDS-MSA’s aim of improving diagnostic accuracy both for research and for clinical practice.
2. Assess the study’s evaluation of the accuracy and reliability of the MDS-MSA criteria in the early and final stages of the disease.
3. Compare the diagnostic parameters of the new consensus and the previous consensus on diagnostic criteria and diagnosis in clinical practice.

SATISFACTORY COMPLETION

Each module will take approximately one (1) hour to complete. Upon reading the article, participants will take a post-test and must receive a grade of 75% or higher to pass. Participants are allowed multiple attempts to complete the post-test. Once the post-test is passed, participants are required to complete the module evaluation.
