Program Description

This course will cover each disease entity, diagnostic challenges, ancillary laboratory investigations and management. Participants will have the opportunity to examine patients during clinical rounds and to take part in discussions during video session devoted to complex cases.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity learners will be able to:

Diagnose progressive supranuclear palsy, multiple system atrophy and corticobasal degeneration using clinical diagnostic criteria and ancillary laboratory tools.
Recognize mimicking conditions of atypical parkinsonian disorders in differential diagnosis.
Plan a patient-centered multidisciplinary treatment.

The primary purpose of this course is to address recent advances in diagnosis and treatment of atypical parkinsonian disorders. Participants will have the opportunity to examine patients during clinical rounds and to take part in discussions during video session devoted to complex cases.
