Program Description

The MDS-ES Affiliate & National Society Video Case Discussion Series course is a 4-part event occurring from October 2023– February 2024 organized in collaboration with affiliate and national societies within the MDS-ES. Each session will cover a foundational topic in the field of Movement Disorders using didactic lecture and interactive case presentation and discussion. Video cases will be presented by the affiliate and national society partners, and will highlight typical and atypical clinical features, phenomenology, and diagnostic approaches to the session’s foundational topic.

Course Purpose

The primary purpose of this course is to provide foundational education with video case examples of movement disorders prevalent across the European Section.


Each session will cover a foundational topic in the field of Movement Disorders using didactic lecture and interactive case presentation and discussion. Video cases will be presented by the affiliate and national society partners, and will highlight typical and atypical clinical features, phenomenology, and diagnostic approaches to the session’s foundational topic.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity learners will be able to:

  1. Recognize various phenomenology and acquire basic knowledge on how to approach to movement disorders
  2. Define differential typical and atypical clinical features of movement disorders.
  3. Define how to interpret important investigations in movement disorders and apply to clinical practice.
  4. Demonstrate clinical skills in approaching phenomenology, typical and atypical presentations of movement disorders.

Intended Audience

This activity is intended for General Neurologists, Clinician's, Faculty, Clinical Fellows and Neurology Residents
