Program Description

MDS-PAS Overview of Pediatric Movement Disorders Online Course participants will improve their knowledge on the clinical approach to pediatric movement disorders, including recognition of their phenomenology, an approach to diagnosis, and appropriate management strategies.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this activity, learners will be able to: 

1. Improve understanding and recognition of the phenomenology of movement disorders in children, including dystonia, chorea, ataxia, parkinsonism, paroxysmal dyskinesias, tics and stereotypies

2. Develop an approach to the diagnosis of dystonia, chorea, ataxia, parkinsonism, paroxysmal dyskinesias, tics and stereotypies in children

3. Improve knowledge and skills in the management of pediatric movement disorders


INTENDED AUDIENCE

This activity is intended for movement disorder specialists, general neurologists, pediatric neurologists, movement disorder fellows, and neurology residents.
