Program Description

The MDS-AS African Multicenter Movement Disorder Grand Rounds course aims to provide education in the field of movement disorders and a live forum for African participants to discuss regionally-specific movement disorder cases on related session topics. This course consists of 3-independent sessions organized throughout the year in collaboration by multiple centers across the African region.

Session 3: Movement Disorders in Metabolic Disorders - December 12, 2024: 16:00 - 18:00 CET


LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this activity, learners will be able to: 

  1. Summarize basic knowledge on fundamental movement disorder topics covered in course. 
  2. Implement clinical skills, including history taking and examining patients through cases discussion. 
  3. Identify the different types and phenomenology of movement disorders cases. 
  4. Evaluate varied examination approaches to movement disorders. 
  5. Foster collaborative networks with African centers, senior experts, and peers through shared experiences, learnings and case discussions.


INTENDED AUDIENCE

This activity is intended for Movement Disorder Specialists, General Neurologists, Primary Care Clinicians, Clinical Fellows, Clinical Research Fellows, Movement Disorders Fellows, Medical Residents, Medical Students, Graduate Students, and Clinical Researchers.
