Program Description

The MDS AOS Management of Movement Disorder in Underserved Areas Online Course is a two-day course that aims to equip clinicians, fellows, and healthcare professionals with knowledge on the diagnosis and management of movement disorders in resource limited settings. The course covers several clinical topics. Along with clinical content, the course provides insight into the challenges faced and solutions available in resource limited conditions.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this activity, learners will be able to: 

1. To summarize the challenges in diagnosing and managing movement disorders when resources are limited.

2. To recognize, identify, and diagnose common movement disorders.

3. To learn about management of movement disorders in resource limited settings.

4. To learn how to organize research and clinical services in the field of movement disorders when resources are limited.


INTENDED AUDIENCE

This activity is intended for Clinicians, Faculty, General Neurologists, Primary Care, Fellows, Clinical Researchers,  Residents, Nurses, Physio/Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists and Physician Assistants.
