Program Description

The MDS-AS Practical Approach to Movement Disorders course aims to support doctors in improving their skills at diagnosing and managing movement disorders, through in-depth instruction from internationally recognized movement disorders experts. Topics covered will include the treatment and differential diagnosis of PD, chorea, dystonia and myoclonus.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this activity, learners will be able to: 

1. Identify the semiology of the different hyperkinetic movement disorders

2. Formulate a differential diagnosis for the presenting problem

3. Be able to initiate treatment for the motor and common non-motor symptoms of PD

4. Treatment for common causes of Movement disorders

This activity is intended for English-speaking general practitioners, general neurologists and neurology residents.
