LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, learners will be able to:
1. Understand that movement disorders emergencies are associated with significant morbidity and mortality, requiring prompt identification and treatment.
2. Recognize the clinical picture of diverse movement disorder emergencies, including neuroleptic malignant syndrome, serotoninergic syndrome, malignant catatonia, and status dystonicus among others.
3. Establish suitable treatment strategies for each case based on updated clinical evidence.
