Program Description

This 3-part online series will focus on the basic physiological and functional aspects of the basal ganglia, comparing humans and rodents. Other topics discussed in the series include an overview of the molecular mechanisms involved in Parkinson’s disease and related disorders, the general physiology of the basal ganglia, the physiology associated with motor and non-motor features of PD, and dystonia.
