Program Description

This course aims to provide a comprehensive educational experience, equipping participants with up-to-date knowledge and practical skills in the field of movement disorders. The course program includes forward-looking lectures on digital technology and AI in movement disorders, a state-of-the-art workshop on digital biomarkers and therapeutics, grand rounds with complex case discussions, a unique walking lecture on stress management and work-life balance and career development sessions related to becoming a successful specialist, mastering academic presentations, and conducting impactful research.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  1. Participants will be able to correlate basal ganglia anatomy with various movement disorder phenomenologies, enhancing their understanding of underlying mechanisms.
  2. Participants will gain practical tips and tricks for examining movement disorders, tailored to each phenomenology, from expert movement disorder specialists.
  3. Participants will acquire hands-on experience with digital technologies in movement disorders, including diagnostic and therapeutic biomarkers, through practical training.
  4. Participants will establish local and international networks with young clinicians and researchers, fostering collaborations and facilitating future research in the field of movement disorders.


INTENDED AUDIENCE

This activity is intended for clinicians, researchers, fellows, neurology residents, medical students, allied health professionals with an interest in current clinical trends and approaches for diagnosis and treatment of movement disorders.
