Add Curriculum-List Only

 

Overview:

 

Learners are able to select curriculum list-only from the course catalog only if curriculum list-only is setup for public access. Administrative user is able to add curriculum list-only course type by selecting the "Add New" button on the course listing grid and then selecting Course Type equals to Curriculum and checking the "List Only Course" check box.

 

Curriculum List-only course provides only details for the course. Learning stages like Pre- and Post-Assessment, Evaluation, Certificate, etc. are not required to be configured for list-only courses. Once the course is active, learners can view the details of the course.

 

Additional links may be configured in the course to access relevant details about the course.

 

Each course is connected with the unique job code. So, first select the course Job Code defined for the curriculum course you would like to associate with. The Add New option allows you to define the Job Code for the course, if is not defined.

 

Course Job Code

The Job Code is unique to each course. All LMS courses are connected with the job code.

 

Course Type

Select Curriculum from the Course Type drop down data field. Upon selecting the course type, system will display two course selection options i.e. List Only Course and External.

 

Check the List Only Course check box.

 

 

Confirmation

System displays an overlay confirmation message window.

 

Click Yes to confirm about adding a Curriculum course with List Only type.
 

 

 

 

 

Accredited Course

Check "Accredited Course?" check box if the course is accredited, keep it unchecked if the course is “non-accredited”.

 

Close Loop Course?

Check "Close Loop Course?" check box if the course is not published to for everyone’s participation and closed loop. If the course is closed loop, only invited learners will be able to participate. A unique course URL is required and distributed to the invited learners.

 

Course for Member and/or Non-Member

Course can be setup for member or non-member OR both. Both check boxes can be selected if the course is eligible for both MDS members and non-members. Select required check box option(s) based on the requirement.

 

Configuration Options Tabs

There are certain configuration settings involved for setting up the course. These configuration settings are grouped into different tabs based on course type. For example, Pre-Assessment, Post-Assessment, eCommerce, Badge, etc. 

 

 

 

Select Configuration Options for Curriculum List Only Course:

 

The course configuration tabs are shown based on the configuration option(s) selected.

 

After selecting required configuration options, you can enter/set configuration values. Click on respective tab/step for which you want to setup the configuration. You can switch to any tab to review and update configurations.
 

Basic Info. and the CMS configuration options are common for all course types except external courses.

 

For Curriculum List Only type course, below listed configuration options are applicable:

After selecting configuration options, click Save button to save the course information. Upon successfully saving the course information, system will display the message, "Course has been updated successfully.".
