Pre-Assessment

 

Overview:

 

If Pre-Assessment configured, Pre-Assessment questions will show up after login/create account and course overview section.

 

Pre-Assessment questions can be configured from single selection, multi-selection, and open-ended Text Box types. Pre-Assessment questions can be mandatory if required.

 

Pre-Assessment summary can be shown after learner’s participation (configurable), which will show correct/incorrect status, rationales, and peers' results (graphical format) at each question level. Pre-Assessment summary option is configurable at the course setup level.

 

Pre-Assessment can be personalized to learner’s profession and/or specialty if pre-assessment is configured on profession and specialty on the back-end. In this case, pre-assessment questions which will match with learner’s profession and/or specialty will show up in step.

 

 

 

Show Pre-Assessment Summary?

Pre-Assessment can have summary page of the learner's performance if “Show Pre-Assessment Summary” option is checked; otherwise, there will not be any summary available after pre-assessment.

 

Submit

Click Submit button to save value(s) under Configuration section.

 

Update Survey Information

Click Update Survey Information button to update the Survey Information. Update Survey Information screen will open as shown below.

 

Enter the required values for Survey Title and Survey Description and click Submit button to save data.

 

 

Survey Information

This section shows Survey Title and Survey Description you have set using the Update Survey Information option. Click Update Survey Information button to update the Survey Information data.

 

Copy Assessment

Copy Pre-Assessment feature allows to copy pre-assessment questions from other courses to the current course.

 

Click Copy Pre-Assessment button. It will open Copy Question Details screen as shown below.

 

Enter or select the Copy From Job Code value.

 

 

 

 

System populates job codes starting with the name you are typing in the textbox. Associated course codes are populated based on the job code you have selected. Select the course code from which you want to copy pre-assessment questions to the current course.

 

 

System shows Copy Question Details screen as shown below. Select the question(s) you want to copy by clicking the checkbox beside each question. To select all questions, select check box shown on grid header.

 

Click Copy button to copy selected questions to the current course.

 

 

 

Questions are copied to the Pre-Assessment Questions grid.

 

 

Pre-Assessment Questions Grid

The Pre-Assessment Questions grid lists pre-assessment questions.

 

Add New

Click Add New button to add a new pre-assessment question for the course.

 

 

Question Type

Select appropriate question type from the drop down menu. For example, Text Box, Single Selection, Multiple Selection, etc.

 

Control Alignment

Select the alignment option about how you want to display the question on the front-end. The question can be listed in either a Horizontal or Vertical format.

 

Is General

Select if this is a General question. By default, every question is marked as General. This means that this question is applicable for all learner types regardless of their area of expertise and/or profession.

 

 

 

 

Is General

Uncheck the option, if it is not General. For Non-General question, select at least one Practicing Type or Specialty.

 

Practicing Type

Select the Practicing Type.

 

Specialty

Select the Specialty from the drop down menu.

 

This will appear if "General" check box is unchecked. The administrative user is able to select specialty types from the multi-select drop down. Once specialty types are selected, this question will only appear for the learner where one of the specialty types matches with learner's specialty. Question can be setup on both or either/or scenarios of profession and specialty.

 

 

Practicing Type & Specialty?

Select check box if the question is applicable for the practicing type and the specialty.

 

 

 

Question Text

Enter the question text in the Text Editor control. Use appropriate formatting option of the Text Editor to apply to the question text.

 

Rationale

Enter the rationale text in the Text Editor control. Use appropriate formatting option of the Text Editor to apply to the rationale text.

 

Comment

Enter the comment about the question, if require, which provides more info. about the question to the learner.

 

Question Order

Select the order of the question you want to display in the questions list on the front-end.

 

Is Mandatory Question?

Select "Is Mandatory" option, if the question is required to be answered by the learner.

 

Is Active?

Select "Is Active?" option, if the question is required to display on the front-end. Question won’t be shown if the Is Active? is not checked. By default, this check box will be checked.

 

Add Option

The Add Option button allows to add answer options to the question.

 

 

Answer Option

Enter the answer text in the Text Editor control. Apply required formatting to the answer option text using the Text Editor formatting options.

 

Answer Option Order

Select the order in which you want the answer option to be displayed on the front-end.

 

Is this correct answer option?

Select "Correct Answer" check box, if this answer option is the correct answer of the question.

 

Is Active?

Select "Is Active?" check box, if this answer option is required to display for the question. By default, this check box will be checked.

 

Submit

Click the Submit button to save the answer option.

 

Option Grid

The Option Grid lists all answer options of the question. This will show already configured answer options with an ability to edit and delete answer options.

 

Submit

Click the Submit button to save the question.

 

 

 

Delete All

Click Delete All button to delete all pre-assessment questions. System displays a warning message before deleting the question(s) as shown below.

 

 

Preview All

Click Preview All button to review how questions will be shown on front-end. You can update the question details before finalizing.

 

 

 

Export To PDF

Click Export To PDF button to export questions to PDF format for further review.

 

Save & Cancel

Click Save button to save the pre-assessment configurations.

 

Click Cancel button to cancel the action of updating detail.
