Ask the Expert

 

 

Overview:

 

This feature allows learners to engage with the faculty who developed the educational course while participating in the course. Learners can ask questions to one or more faculty.

 

 

Course Manager

Administrative user can select course manager and setup Email address to be copied on Ask the Expert notifications.

 

Course manager (administrative user) will receive an Email and upon verifying the question’s legitimacy, course manager can either answer the question or pass it to the faculty to answer. Course manager will have the ability to post the question and answer to the public (via discussion board) on the course page, along with sending a response to the learner who initiated the process of asking a question to the faculty.

 

CC Email

The copied Email address person will get all notifications received through Ask The Expert feature. Enter CC Email address for this purpose.

 

More than one CC Email can be provided separated by semicolon (;).

 

Submit

Click Submit button to save the data/ settings available under Course Planner Information section. Currently, the Course Manager and the CC Email data are available under Course Planner Information section.

 

Faculty Grid

The Faculty Grid lists all faculty members associated with this course. The faculties are setup under Setup -> Faculty Management option. Only active faculty members will be listed.

 

Add Faculty

Add Faculty is a quick option to add a new faculty member.

 

Edit

Click Edit to edit the faculty detail.

 

Click here to view more detail about edit a faculty.

 

Delete

Click Delete to remove the faculty for this course.

 

Q & A Grid

The Q & A grid lists questions and answers about the course.

 

Add Default Q & A

Select "Add Default Q & A" option to add default questions and answers for the course.

 

Edit

Click Edit icon to update the selected question.

 

Change Status

The Change Status option allows to update the status of the question.

 

Delete

Click Delete icon to delete the selected question.

 

Email

The Email option allows to send mail to faculty.

 

Save & Cancel

Click Save button to save course configurations.

 

Click Cancel button to cancel the action of updating detail.
