Basic Info.

 

 

Overview:

 

This feature will allow administrative user to configure basic information for Live, Online, Curriculum, Live or Online List-Only and Live or Online External course.

 

 

Course Title

Enter appropriate title of the course. This is a required data field.

 

Course Code

Enter appropriate code value for the course. This is a required data field. Automatic course code will be assigned and administrative user has an option to overwrite the course code if required.

 

Alternate Title

Enter appropriate title of the course. This is not a required data field.

 

Course Manager

Select course manager from list. Course Manager information is required if course setup has “Ask the Expert” feature configured. System will provide a validation message to select “Course Manager” information if it’s not already setup in that scenario.

 

Course Co-ordinator

Select course co-ordinator. This information is required if administrative user wants to assign a supervisor for the curriculum who would be able to manage, track, enroll and notify enrolled learners in the curriculum. It’s best used when curriculum is “closed-loop”. Administrative user can setup more than one course co-ordinator if required.

 

Specialty/Disease State

Select applicable Specialty/Diseases State values for the course. You can select multiple Specialty/Diseases State values.

 

Course Format

Select the course format. Select one of the applicable formats of the course.

 

You can define course formats on as needed basis using Setup -> Option Management administrative feature. Course formats are defined with Option Group equals to “Type” under Options Management.

 

Passing Grade

Enter the percentage value for the passing grade. Use the up or down arrow to increase or decrease % age value.

 

This option is required for “Post-Assessment” feature. If passing grade (%) is setup, learner must meet the threshold value setup under this option to be able to move forward to the next step of the course. If this option is left blank or setup to 0%, learner will not have to meet minimum threshold value to pass the course and move to the next step of the course.

 

Course Duration

Enter the course duration value in hours. For example, 1.00 (1 hour), 1.25 (1 hour and 15 minutes), 1.50, 2.00, etc.

 

Faculty

Enter the Faculty name. This information will be shown at the course level in course catalog.

 

Release Date

Enter or select the release date of the curriculum. This will be the date when curriculum will be published for the learners to participate in.

 

Expiration Date

Enter or select the expiration date of the curriculum. This date is when curriculum will expire and will not be available for learners to participate in.

 

Enrollment View

Select the value for Enrollment View. This can be either Guest Access, Traditional.

 

No. of Post-Assessment Attempts

Define the # of Post-Assessment attempts. Learner will have to pass Post-Assessment within defined # of attempts. If learner will not be able to pass post-assessment, learner’s progress will end. If learner will pass post-assessment, post-assessment summary will be shown, which will show correct/incorrect status, rationales, and peers' results (graphical format) at each question level.

 

If post-assessment attempts field is setup to “0”, unlimited attempts will be allowed for the post-assessment.

 

Course Preview URL

The course preview URL provides an opportunity to review the course detail and content you have configured before actually releasing for the learner. When you click the course preview URL, it will open the course new tab and you can review the details and update as necessary.

 

Close Enrollment?

Check “Close Enrollment?” check box, if capacity is reached for the live course. Course will be inactive on the front-end just that learner will not be able to enroll.

 

Select Course Logo

Upload appropriate logo/thumbnail for the course you want to display in the course catalog. Note: Image size must be 202 * 108 pixels.

 

Page Title

Define the page title. This will be used for Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

 

Meta Keywords

Define the meta keywords. This will be used for Search Engine Optimization (SEO). For example, you can define meta keywords like CME, CE, Continuing Medical Education, CME/CE for CME course.

 

Meta Description

Describe the description for the meta data. This will be used for Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

 

Meta Tags

Define the meta tags. This will be used for Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

 

Save & Cancel

Click Save button to save record.

 

Click Cancel button to cancel the action of adding a new course record.
